Learn to move with more ease, lightness and less effort

As children, we moved with remarkable ease: we rolled, crawled, stood up and explored the world with curiosity, without unnecessary effort and without fear of moving.

01 / LEARNING THROUGH MOVEMENT

Over the years, that changes. Long hours sitting, stress, old injuries, emotions or simply habit lead us to develop increasingly rigid movement patterns. We stop using parts of our body, repeat the same gestures over and over, and accumulate tension we don't even notice. Little by little, our range of movement shrinks, and this limits us far more than we imagine.

Somatic re-education is a method of learning through movement that helps you free yourself from those patterns. It isn't about exercising, stretching or strengthening, but about discovering, calmly and attentively, how you really move and recovering options you had forgotten. Your nervous system keeps its ability to learn at any age, and these sessions give it the ideal conditions to rediscover that freer, lighter and more natural way of moving we all had as children.

02 / THE EXPERIENCE

What is a session like?

You will usually lie on a comfortable surface, although some lessons are done sitting or standing. I guide you with my voice alone through a sequence of gentle, slow and often very small movements: turning your head, slightly lifting a knee, rolling to one side. Many of these sequences are inspired by the movements we used as babies to learn to roll, sit up or crawl.

I won't show you how to do them, because there is no correct form to copy. What matters is that you explore for yourself, notice what you feel and discover which movement feels easiest. We will introduce variations along the way and take frequent pauses to rest and sense the changes.

You will always work within what feels comfortable, with minimal effort. Here, less is more: the gentler the movement, the finer what you can perceive, and the easier it is for your body to learn.

At the end of a session, many people feel lighter, taller, calmer or simply more at home in their body.

Who is it for?

03 / A PRACTICE FOR YOU

These sessions are open to everyone, whatever their age, fitness level or previous experience. They are especially suitable if:

• You feel stiff or tense and would like to move more freely.

• Conventional exercise, or even Pilates, feels too intense for you right now.

• You want to improve your balance, coordination or posture in a natural way, without forcing.

• You play golf or padel, or practise another sport or art form, and want to move with more fluidity, range and less effort.

• You are looking for a calm practice that helps you switch off and get to know yourself better.

04 / BEYOND THE SESSION

A learning process you'll notice in everything

When you free yourself from rigid patterns, the change doesn't stay in the session. Your nervous system takes in the new movement options and applies them on its own in everything you do, without you having to think about it

In daily life, you will notice it when getting up from a chair, bending down, turning to look behind you in the car, walking or carrying the shopping. Everyday movements become easier, lighter and require less effort. Many people also find that they breathe more freely and that their posture becomes more natural, without needing to "correct" themselves.

In sport, the difference can be surprising. Golf is a good example: a fluid, powerful swing doesn't depend on strength, but on a free, well-coordinated rotation of the whole body. When the pelvis, spine, ribs and shoulders move independently and in harmony, the turn gains range and naturalness, and the shot comes with less effort. The same applies to tennis, padel, swimming, dancing or playing an instrument: the clearer your movement, the better your body responds.

Freedom.

Lightness.

Curiosity.

In short, it is a way of rejuvenating from within: recovering the freedom, lightness and curiosity of movement we had when we were young, and feeling better in your own body in any activity.

These sessions are an educational practice and do not replace medical care or physiotherapy. If you have an injury or health condition, please consult your healthcare professional; I am happy to work in coordination with them.
